Upgrades
Although the AS/RS was installed along with unique software developed in 1989-1991, the AS/RS has received only three major upgrades to date.
- In 2011, an upgrade was completed to improve the six SRM's controllers, communications, and horizontal/vertical positioning.
- The second upgrade began in 2016 and involved two phases.
- The first phase addressed server software and was completed in May 2017.
- The second phase updated hardware on three out of the six SRMs and was completed in January 2019.
- The third phase updated hardware on the final three SRMs, replaced RF modems with optical modems on all 6 aisles, installed SRM safety features for all 6 aisles, and was completed in February 2021.
